A few new projects!

After a busy weekend, I finally had time to do some stamping today! YAH! These are the 4 projects that I will be teaching at my Adult Ed Class this week !!

ANTIQUE TECHNIQUE – Using Earth Colors, Choose a light color (so Saffron) cardstock and a slightly darker ink (More Mustard). Once image is stamped (Choc Chip) sponge More mustard heavily around the edges, and getting lighter toward center with no ink on the very center. Then use Darkest ink (Choc Chip) and smear pad lightly on very edges. This gives the cardstock and aged, antique look.

PUNCH OWL- You will need 1 Choc Chip Scalloped Circle (cut in ½), one white scalloped circle, 1- 1 ¾ " circle, 1 five petal flower (you only need 1 petal) 1- boho flower punch (only using ½ of one flower), a Round Tab Punch, 2- ½ " circles, and 2- ¼" circles. Adhere together as shown!

PAPER PIERCING- Using the the Mat Pack Paper Piercing template and a paper piercer or hat pin, line up the template to the edge of the area you want to paper pierce. You can poke holes in any pattern you want such as every hole, every other hole, zig zag, a triangular shape etc. For an added effect, use a white gel pen and connect the holes you poked to give it a Faux Stitched look.

Also note this is a Scalloped Note, that I scored 1" from the edge and adhered to a 6x6 piece of cardstock to make it an opening card.

A TWIST TO EMBOSS RESIST- Using craft inks and clear embossing powder, emboss in the colors you of your choice on glossy cardstock(sage shadow, almost amethyst) Then Brayer over it with a light color (blush blossom) ink. Take a darker ink (cameo coral) and using the very edge of the pad, lightly swipe it across the cardstock to make thin lines. Lightly wipe off all excess ink with tissue.

Hope you enjoy them! Thursday, Emma and I will be finalizing our stamp camp projects for the Stamp Camp we are holding on February 28th and getting the supply orders ready! If you haven't registered yet, please try to do so ASAP! Hope to see you there! If you would like more info, the registration form can be found at

Regionals - 2008

I didn't have a blog when I went to the Virginia Beach regionals in November with my friend and downline, Emma. So since I have not stamped anything today, I figured I would share a few pictures of some of my favorite projects I saw there. Don't be surprised if you see some of these show up in future posts that I have slightly modified to teach for one of my classes! I love creating projects on my own but sometimes I see some that are so awesome that I have to CASE (which means copy and steal everything!!). I also look at some projects and just use them for inspiritation to get my wheels turning, but we all have those days when we sit down at out stampin' table and just stare blankly at all the cardstock, stamps, inks, and embellishments and draw a complete blank, and those are the days that CASE'ing comes in handy!!
Well gotta run!
Have a great day!

Hello!

Well it is Wednesday and I am getting ready to cut the supplies for the last project for tonight... I have to admit it is my favorite! I found the template online and since my scor-pal finally arrived, I have been really score happy so I decided to do the bag! Here it is:

I included a quick template of where to score. It is a full 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of cardstock... there are no cuts, just scores.

Well gotta finish prepping now!

Have a great day!

Last Week's Club projects... New Catty, Another class, etc

Well I never made it back on to add the pics of the projects from last week's club meeting because the new catalog arrived and I got so excited and consumed in what I "NEED" (okay, what I really, really, really, want but as far as my husband is concerned, I NEED IT! I HAVE to HAVE it for my classes! HAHA!) The Big Shot was definitely one of those NEEDS. Now it is all the new accessories for it, along with some new stamp sets, that awesome new circle cutter, then if I get the circle cutter, I NEED a glass mat... If I can cut all size circles, I NEED some new designer paper to cut circles out of... And circles would look really bland without the new eyelet border punch... Wait! What about those crocheted flowers?!?! They would really dress up that eyelet border punch... But when I order those, I need to get some of that canvas cuts....
Anyway, this was how my whole week has went! New catalogs are EXHAUSTING!!

If you didn't get a copy yet, the whole thing can be viewed by clicking shop now from my website... http://tanyawilliams.stampinup.net/

Anyway... Here are the club projects from last week:

And here are 3 of the 4 for tomorrow night

Hopefully, I will soon get the projects posted for the STAMP CAMP that I am hosting on FEB. 28th... We are still in planning stage!

Final Project for Wednesday

Well, after getting kids off the bus, getting dinner on the table, running to the store, and then going to my first Pop Warner Board Meeting as Secretary (WHAT WAS I THINKING????), I made it home and got the last project ready for Wednesday Night. But first, I have to do a little bragging! During the board meeting, one member slipped up, not realizing who's mom I was and announced that they even had one cheerleader this year make it to the All-American Regional Scholars Team... then says I think her name was Anna Williams. I blurted out "that's my daughter!" and she says "OOPS! Act surprised when you get the official call!!" Only 42 kids from the entire Henlopen Region (which is almost all of DE and Berlin, and Salisbury) moved on to regionals based on their grades in school. Only 35 7th Grade Girls from the entire Eastern Region which includes New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and D.C.
made the 2009 Scholars Team!!! Okay back to Stamping... Here is the final project for Wednesday Night's Class....

Hope to get Thursday Night Club's projects designed, prepped and packed tomorrow!
Will try to post pics!
Good Night!
Tanya

3rd project for Wednesday

Here is another project that I got completed. The colors are a little hard to see. It is Kraft and Pink Pirouette cardstock with vellum and White Embossed frame dipped in dazzling diamonds while still hot!

One more project for class designed!

Fun! FUN! Fun! Top picture is a closed view, bottom is when it is opened!

Last Week's Adult Ed Class

I have been meaning to post a picture of my newest daughter, Bella! She was born on October 13, 2008 and we adopted her on December 7, 2008. She was supposed to be a Christmas present for the girls, but I could not find a place to hide a ornery puppy. I ended up buying her a Santa suit and giving her to them the night that I picked her up. She was 13 weeks old yesterday and weighed a GINORMOUS 3lbs at the vet on Friday!

As many of you know I teach Adult Ed. Stampin' Classes for the Indian River School District. They are 4 week sessions. Last Wed. was the first night of the current session. Here are the projects that we did!

This week, I have class on Wednesday night and then Stampin' Club on Thursday. So far, I have only one card designed for Wednesday! Here it is:

I will try to post the other 6 cards as I get them finished!

Have a great day!

DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING

Okay, so far so good! First I have to share the news!! Straight from Leadership in Orlando FL... Later this year, Stampin' Up! will be introducing DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING!!! I can not wait! I have wanted to try this for a while but I have been hesitatant because I love the look of Stampin' Up! sets and papers etc. so now I will be able to have the best of both world's!!! A program with our exclusive designs as well as matching colors, images, etc so I can still embellish by hand and everything will still coordinate!! YEAH!! It will be called "My Digital Studio" and it is supposed to be super easy and user friendly! They say if you can use WORD, you can use this program. I love handmade scrapbooks and will probably not give them up entirely but at the rate I am going, I will never get caught up so this will be fun to play with and try to get some pages done quickly!

Will post again soon!

Once Again... I am going to try to enter the world of blogging... I have nothing else to do with my time except being a mom to 4, a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, a volunteer at my 7 yr old's school, teaching Adult Ed Stamping Classes, being Server Manager at a restaurant, being mommy to a new Yorkie puppy and being Secratary for Lower Sussex Pop Warner. LOL!! Guess that tells you a little about me!!
I would like to say that I will update this everyday or every few days, but I hate to say things and not follow through, so we will see how it goes!
I will update later with some super exciting Stampin' Up! News... Just want to be sure I know how all this works before I try to do too much!
